||The Lancaster County School District is currently accepting school psychologist applicants for the 2020-2021 school year. Full-time positions are needed, although internships and part-time positions will also be considered.
Lancaster County is the fast growing county in South Carolina and serves approximately 15,000 students which include 13 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, 5 high schools, 1 district career center, and an early childhood center. School psychologists typically serve 2 schools and have school-based offices.
LCSD school psychologists meet monthly as part of a Professional Learning Community with the lead school psychologist, head of student services, as well as directors in other disciplines. We currently have 12 school psychologists who work collaboratively with students, teachers, administrators, and parents to staff cases, perform assessments in the areas of special education, 504 evaluations/plans, FBA/BIP development, as well as provide support and consultation to address learning/behavioral/emotional needs.
