Working from home, the part-time School Psychologist will support students’ learning, social development, and mental and behavioral health using problem solving, assessment, and data-based decision-making. The primary responsibility of this role is to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for students in grades PK–12.
Position Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychological evaluations using a variety of assessment tools for students in grades PK–12; administer, score, and interpret standardized tests of cognitive, academic, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Compile detailed evaluation reports with findings, recommendations, and potential interventions.
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP development.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of all evaluations and related documentation.
- Provide services consistent with ethical, legal, and professional standards, with respect for human diversity and social justice.
Work Arrangement & Equipment
Remote position, 15–30 hours per week during school-day hours with a consistent weekly schedule. Pearson provides a laptop with webcam and second monitor, headset, and assessment library; the employee provides a mouse and keyboard.
Requirements
- Accredited specialist-level or higher graduate program (minimum 60 graduate semester hours and a 1,200-hour supervised internship, with at least 600 hours in a school setting).
- Current or obtainable School Psychologist license/certificate; National School Psychologist Certification preferred.
- Proven experience conducting psychological evaluations in a school setting (virtual experience preferred); strong assessment and technology skills.
