Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to support students within a school-based setting in Kingstree, South Carolina (29556). This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health needs.

  • Schedule: Full-time, school-based
  • Employment Type: Contract
  • Pay Rate: Starting at $65/hour (dependent on experience)


Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations and reevaluations (SLD, ASD, Intellectual Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, and other developmental concerns); interpret data, prepare reports, and present findings at eligibility and IEP meetings.
  • Participate in MTSS/RTI processes; assist with development, implementation, and monitoring of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions using data-based decision-making.
  • Collaborate and consult with special and general education teachers, SLPs, OTs, administrators, and families on academic, behavioral, and social-emotional concerns.
  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and support Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs); assist with crisis prevention and intervention.
  • Maintain compliance with IDEA and SC Department of Education requirements and complete documentation within required timelines.


Qualifications


  • Specialist (Ed.S.), Ph.D., or Psy.D. in School Psychology preferred.
  • Active South Carolina School Psychologist certification/licensure required (or ability to obtain through reciprocity).
  • Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) preferred.
  • Previous school-based experience preferred; strong assessment, report-writing, and consultation skills.
