    Employer Name Aperture Education
Description of the position: A new social enterprise:
We have recently grown out of two organizations- one a non-profit focused on creating resilient children, the Devereux Center for Resilient Children and one a for-profit focused on making sure educators have good data to make great instructional decisions, Apperson, Inc. In order to realize the shared goals, we formed a partnership to get the best out of both worlds: a company rooted in the belief that our children hold the promise for a better tomorrow and a shared obligation to ensure that they have the skills and mindsets necessary to be good stewards of our future.
Aperture Education is a social enterprise focused on addressing the whole child. Its social-emotional learning (SEL) solution, Evo Social/Emotional, is designed around the Devereux Student Strengths Assessment (DESSA), a standardized, strengths-based measure of critical social and emotional skills such as personal responsibility, self-management, relationship skills and healthy decision-making.
Aperture Education offers the excitement and energy of working for a new company with the benefit of a stable brand and a growing customer base.  We offer a flexible work environment that encourages you to maintain a healthy work/life balance, including work from home days.

The role we’re looking to fill:
We’re seeking an Account Executive that has experience working in the K12 education space to sell our line of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) assessment and intervention solutions. In this role, you will consult with qualified leads, understanding their needs and work them through the implementation process, building on our reputations for top notch service.
Half of your time will be spent helping clients through the sales process and building lasting relationships. The other half of your time will be devoted to developing select state target markets; identifying trends, building relationships, attending conferences and working collaboratively with our Sales and Marketing teams.

The types of folks we hire:
We are looking for people who are as passionate about children succeeding as we are. We want folks who are self-motivated and continuous learners – who see a problem and want to tackle it – even if it means taking a risk. You must be comfortable with autonomy and, at times, a lack of clearly defined boundaries and you should enjoy taking on additional responsibilities as we’ll need you to as we grow and learn (sidebar: this means plenty of opportunity for personal and career growth!). You must be okay working in an environment where collaboration is key and ideas can come from every corner.
Finally, you must have a sense of urgency and strong appreciation for the importance of revenue, but it must be balanced at all times with a strong compassion for our clients and the children they serve and you must begin by always doing what is best for them.

Does this sound like you? If so, please send your resume to MKirsch@ApertureEd.com to be considered.
