|Description of the position:
||Are you currently looking for a school psychologist position for the 2021-2022 school year? Consider applying for a position with us here in Greenwood School District 50! We currently have an opening for a full-time position but welcome the opportunity to interview those interested in internships or part-time work.
Greenwood 50 serves approximately 9,000 students, which provides our team of 9 school psychologists with reasonable caseloads of only 1-2 schools. School psychologists are tasked with traditional assessment and consultation responsibilities, but are also provided with opportunities for systems-level participation and individual leadership based on interests and skill sets.
School psychologists have designated offices within their school sites, with access to district meeting/office space and resources at the Special Services building (conveniently relocated next to Grace Street Park). Working hours are flexible, but are typically from 8:00-4:30 with an hour lunch break, on a 205 day contract.
This school year we will transition to a balanced modified calendar, which means school starts in July. However, we are afforded the typical school holiday breaks as well as a two week intercession in September/October and March/April.
Opportunities for professional development are available and encouraged. Mentoring is available for interns, early career psychologists, and those needing supervision for LPES certification. In addition, our team of psychologists meets regularly to provide professional support and guidance to one another, as well as fellowship.
Interested applicants can learn more about the position on the district’s webpage. If you would like to schedule an interview, please reach out to the lead psychologist, Ginny Gast, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
