Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About BASC-3

NASP Domain #1

Randy Kamphaus, PhD, BASC-3 Co-author

Description:

We all know the BASC, right? Originally published in 1992 and revised in 2004, it’s become the most widely used set of rating scales and self-report scales for diagnosing behavioral, emotional, and personality disorders in children and adolescents.

Now the BASC-3 family is here, with new scales and new components to assist with screening, assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring. Come spend the day with BASC-3 co-author Dr. Randy Kamphaus to hear about the following topics and more:

• How the BASC-3 family facilitates implementation of school-based mental health programs

• Using universal behavioral/emotional screening to identify at-risk students

• Selecting and implementing appropriate interventions based on BASC-3 results

• Ready-to-use curriculum materials for running behavioral/emotional skill-building groups

• New BASC-3 items, scales, and composite scores

• Using the new Flex Monitor to create custom progress monitoring forms for students

• Improved tools for student observation and developmental history taking

• New digital scoring and reporting options, including paperless, web-based options

Plus a bonus – All attendees will automatically be entered into a drawing for BASC-3 materials, and we will draw winners throughout the day. Prizes include BASC-3 kits, Behavior Intervention Guides, Skill-Building Guides, and Parent Tip Sheets. To increase your odds of winning, you may also purchase extra tickets, with proceeds to benefit Children’s Services.

See you in March for a fun and informative day!
